Hi Everybody, Now, I am practically fully recovered from 2 strokes during 7 brain surgeries in 1990. What a scary, yet interesting journey it has been. What I learned from it all, though, it was worth it! In this gorgeous 2nd life I have now, it is incredible extra ordinary. My husband, Vincent Kane, I feel he was sent from Above to me! He is the most honest, generous, decent and loving man that I ever met. For over 20 years, after my TBI, I have done volunteer services at both Lutheran General Hospital and at Marianjoy Rehabilitation Centers. Late in 2018, I got a position as a CSA at a Walgreen in AH! When I go into a patient's room, I tell them a little bit about my story, so they might have more of an easier time telling me THEIR stories. I tell them that I was 1/2 paralyzed, blinded, and I could not walk, talk etc.. So I tell the patients 'If I can make it.....why can not YOU, too????' I tell ...Expand for more
